I am not a Ryanair fan BUT in the first instance they are Europes most punctual airline. In the second any airline is more likely to pick up more delays if an aircraft does 6 or 7 seven short sectors per day rather than 3 or 4 long ones.
Scaremongering on the basis of future potential nighttime extensions is patently ridiculous.
Regarding domestic noise mitigation. As BA states there are clear governmental guidelines regarding this issue. Why any airport would act in advance of these in todays commercial environment is beyond me. As far as I know London City is the only airport that has. It operates in a rarified environment of huge (compared to most) PLS charges and the noise insulation was done on the back of an increase in ATM's.
Please can we at least pretend to be semi-educated about this subject and stick to the facts.
