Just returned from 3 weeks driving through the region. Fantastic trip.
We took a scenic flight ex William Ck, water was almost at the shore at Halligan Bay, 50 klicks east of WCK. Not much bird life though.
We saw multitudes of birds, pelicans, ducks, egrets (I think), and cormorants on some water holes near Betoota.
WCK strip was in good nick.
