"Lt K inserted an LZ as WPA. You know this how?"

1. Handwriting
2. Answer to a question on the 0riginal "Hit Back Here" thread many years ago.

My Transport Support work was in the Desert - very few features and maps with a dotted line equivalent to some 15NM in from the Coast labelled "End of reliable Relief Information." Heights of Mountains were labelled "approximate".
Nobody took anything for granted and double checked everything. If the weather deteriorated or the sand blew you pulled up and out.

Never had to bother changing radio frequency because everyone was on 118.1. Call finals at Masirah and Bombay would reply. In fact sand ingress frequently made it impossible to change frequency.

PS You can always ask Walter where he thinks the Way Point was.

PPS Perhaps you should have a look through the Archives at what has been covered in the past 8 years or so.
