That Chinook idea, if they are similar, might be your best bet.
From my time with Harriers at BAe, and current position with a museum, I can tell you all Harrier 1 parts in any decent condition are either pricey or gone, snapped up.
The Indian Navy still operate Harrier 1 FRS51's & T4/T60 trainers.
They have already robbed everything going including gate guardians, in a project with BAe !!!

I'd suggest tarting up what you've got, the main leg will be supported by the lock and A, is virtually invisible, B, how bad can it be ?!
