Regarding the image host, did you ever consider "www.tinypic.com"? It works always good for me, in more than 99% of the cases.
Then again, I have my own web-space (and web-site) as a simple alternative.
On the just past challenge: it is unbelievable, I had that three sides view of the Hungarian biplane Aircraft right under my nose, this notwithstanding I didn't recognise it
