Armed Forces Day - Info / Events / Competitions

The first Armed Forces Day, 27 June 2009, is an opportunity for the nation to show its support for the men and women of our Armed Forces – past, present and future.

Across the country people are getting involved: communities are holding local events, businesses are showing their support through promotional offers, and to kick off proceedings, local authorities are holding flag-raising ceremonies at 1030 on 22 June.

On the day itself The Historic Chatham Dockyard opens its doors for a National Event, so the public can learn more about the Army, Navy and RAF and meet members of local units.
