Correct me if I'm wrong on this but doesn't Medical/Law school cost a substantial amount of money similar to that of a fATPL? I would guess Medical may cost much more that flight school even.
I'm aware that these professions require long long hours with little pay at the beginning.
However, does a newly qualified doctor have to pay extra cash (money on top of basic medical school) for additional training in order to perform his or her job?
A new hire for FR does. A 738 TR, which is essential (stating the obvious) to perform his/her job. A class one medical, also required for flight, a security pass, also required, travel to a particular airport to work...
Like getting a job in a supermarket and before starting work being asked to hand over cash for training of the computerized checkout system!
