Short answer: YES.
Look at the back of the QRH (5.04) - the SD is not a required item and doesn't affect landing capability. Yes, you can always transfer the screen, but you don't have to. With the gear down on approach it only shows the wheels page, which isn't particularly interesting anyway (as long as everything is working!).
