Between 1939 and 1943, a New Zealand machine piloted by Alan Pritchard was used for aerial seed sowing trials at Ninety Mile Beach and later spreading superphosphate. These trials were part of the experiments which lead to the development of aerial topdressing,
Possibly the first aeroplane ever to demonstrate agricultural practices with an aircraft?
