Yep, Looks as though the PIK flights are going from the middle of July. FR don't seem to know how to make routes work any more. When this route started it was so popular that the load factor was 97% throughout the year. It needed to have a decent flight time, somewhere between noon and 5p.m. for it to work. Edinburgh is the same, but I guess FR are planning to shut PIK now that they've got a base at EDI. PIK suffered a lot in the last 12 months from cutbacks by FR.
FR's big mistake was to leave the door open for British European to morph into Flybe and swamp the market just 30 minutes up the road. Now add to that FR's low public opinion and they're in trouble. I know so many people who are now travelling up to Gatwick to fly U2 instead. It's crazy when you can fly the same route from BOH with FR, but they have a bad impression of FR and that's what determines where they fly from. FR need to get this under control soon.
