Allowing for the fact that some people actually may be happy with their treatment by Ryanair (or just stupid) the post by
zerotohero above has all the management "fellow traveller" characteristics which I suggested for
BongleB. It has dawned on me that this may turn out to be a good test for other posters. To apply this test just have look at what
zerotohero is saying from the point of view of the current "Ryanair message for idiots to believe". Here is his entire post, restated in “Ryanair speak”.
i have said from my first week do i F*** want
Selfish and egocentric. 20% of available marks.
I am more than happy with Brookfield
Brookfield good - full-time contract (believe it or not) bad (necessary to justify current employment tactics for new pilots). 20% of available marks.
and not looking forward to command as they may offer my a ryanair contract then
Repetition of message (10% of marks). But also pilot stupidity (much loved by Ryanair), for which reason we must award Bonus marks of 15%
much prefer brookfield command contract if i can get that right away.
Repetition and reinforcement of pro BRK message to encourage new F/Os not to listen to those who point out where the BRK contract is going to leave them. 20% of available marks.
Additional marks for sustaining the message over several posts, promoting the Ryanair view of human greed and general helpfulness to the Ryanair cause – 15%.
100% - congrats!!!
zerotohero has earned maximum marks and is therefore a suitable candidate to move forward to a higher level. Options open to him include:
- More of the same (current kindergarten level)
- Active betrayal of colleagues (senior infants)
- Form an ERC and do a deal for your colleagues in exchange for a training position and “special personal advancement”. A primer course is available from the Dublin ERC. (Secondary level)
- Enter the management team and engage in active promotion of “survival of the fittest” man management” techniques for which Ryanair are beloved across the globe. (Advanced level)
