Bonglebear,
That's exactly the kind of "I'm all right Jack" attitude which is killing the profession. And I mean this in the nicest possible way. Would your colleagues on various other contract agree with you?
well that's the point isn't it? i am alright, so why should i complain? call me selfish but until something happens negatively to my situation, i'm not kicking off. from those i've spoken to, on "various contracts", do agree with me, yes.
Ryanair made 5 times that last year NET - what did the staff get? More cuts
i haven't had a pay cut in 4 years; my pay has only increased. yes, it would be nice if we had a share of the profits, but ryanair have decided that having richer pilots isn't part of their plans. they want more money in their bank and how can i blame them if it makes my job more secure?
I would imagine those guys who were at Exel would stand up and fight for their profession given the fortunate circumstance.
well they get the chance now, because quite a few skippers have joined ryanair - and i can guarantee you they are more than happy and grateful with the company!
I smell management stooge and the smell is not nice....
what, because i'm the only person on this horribly negative site who is happy with their job at ryanair?! we all know that the only people who post on here are those who are pissed off about something.
you'll just have to admit that ryanair is well run. the proof is that it still exists. there's plenty of airlines who have collapsed recently and sadly more to come. like i told the guy from hr at my interview when i joined ryanair - i did so for two main reasons - job security and job satisfaction - and that hasn't changed; there's no signs of redundancies in the near future and as previously stated: i'm enjoying my work. sorry if you don't like hearing that.
