Reminds me of when,about four years ago,AN A320 pilots were rostered for test flights.We didn`t have a clue what for,weren`t told a thing by AN management and again,typically,didn`t have a clue what to do on a test flight.One Captain rolled up and took his family on a test flight,all the way to Nhill and back.Not at economic flight levels either.
One hour later he returned to Melbourne,met by incensed engineers who told him "everyone else has been doing an extended circuit".
As it transpired,the test flights were because an engineer had been sabotaging A320s to increase his overtime.
Another great moment in Ansett management.
