Don't know about Canada to JAA, but am doing FAA to JAA (in Germany) right now.
From what the LBA have told me, or advised me, is to make sure to have the conversion finished before EASA takes over it all, which is supposed to occur in 2012.
The vibes they are getting are that things will become more ridiculous than they already are, rather than "streamlined".
But maybe that's just FAA discrimination.
If you ask me, I think the Euros (JAA) have a rather large bug stuck up their a$$es, which is still alive and kicking, thus making sitting in their offices very uncomfortable!
....and I'm a Euro.....
