Thanks for enlighting me! The reason i was asking all these questions is since I'm doing a project which involved flightplanning a B772ER from MNL to AMS. And the questions arrose why one wouldnt use a 747! I still need to do a presentation about it and im sure ill use some of your answers in it

Do you know why it burns more fuel? Poorly designed? Less fuel efficient engines?
