Well it may be "required" but it most certainly is not worn by the very chic and sassy Air France girls in KSA. Would be interested to know if Swiss, Lufty, Austrian and the seasonal European Hajj operators ( e.g Thomas Cook.........or do they damp lease?? ) insist on female crews covering up or do they follow the AF example??
