I agree -100%, they ( safety division people) are notorious for it. A friend who was converting his license was asked to leave his logbook and while talking to other pilots, they told him their horror stories with safety div., so he went back the same day, got a photocopy and took his logbook.
However, people in medical have also known to lose X-ray results. WTF ???
