Just flew to VIE with Easy-Good Flight almost full ,so dont understand why they are dropping the route next winter.
Thats because good old easyJet have favoured LGW over LTN as per usual! The route only started a short while ago, but they have already decided to increase it to twice daily from the winter. So it seems they have decided to shift all capacity away from LTN.

It annoys me how easyJet seems to completely move a whole route away from passengers north of London and now have a 1.5-2hr journey if they still want to fly on this route. Not everyone in the London area and home counties happens to live South of the Thames!

It makes me wonder if it is a matter of time if other routes like Istanbul and Athens for example, where further capacity is transferred to LGW.

Back earlier this year, SkyEurope did have a huge number of their 737-700's repossessed by GE leasing and the only ones remaining are ones through another leasing company which is about 4 in total. GE was not interesting in renegotiating the deal with the airline.

Probably is true they afraid of sending their own metal to the UK incase repossessed. But their owners an American investment company did secure some additional financing so hopefully they maybe coming out the other side now.

Maybe they could pick the VIE route if they are still operating to LTN by the winter.
