Hi Nigel ... I think you could well be right about the 58T not having been on the Oz register ... and I cannot remember what reg the Helitrans machines were on ...
Was not Wally Watkins and Alain Le Lec flying the Super F (AS321) on that Kiunga job ... I know they were both very knowledgeable about the a/c and Wally knew all there was to know about the 58T ... a long time ago !!!
