Get yourself a two year working holiday visa for Australia. Find a cattle station that has it's own helicopter and start off working as a ringer on the ground. If you are lucky you will get a bit of time in the chopper, if you are really lucky you will get ALOT of time in the chopper.
If you don't get much chopper time at least you have lived and worked in Australia for two years, a good life experience. You should have saved a good amount of money, there is really nothing to spend your money on when working at a remote property.
Maybe it would be enough to pay for your IR.
