My reply was to simply point out that QF have sent excess (at the time) FOs to easyJet for a fixed contract.
As an aside, my thoughts are CTC are trying to find work for their new FOs now that the European market has dried up. Since easyJet et al used to hoover up any CTC cadet, CTC are now finding that many new cadets are without either any job or a permanent one. (easyJet now take the CTC cadets on for 6 months and then release them)
Since the NZ contract specifies a certain level of experience, CTC and easyJet have come up with a solution. Offer the experienced FOs (who probably did their training in NZ) a chance to fly around there for a couple of months and then there'll be more "room" for easyJet to continue to take on the freshly minted CTC cadets.
