Does a C551 pilot need a new type rating to fly the C550??
Just as the title reads, trying to get one of our crew on to the C550, on his license it states C501/C551 but l want him to have C550 as the single pilot version is of no use to me!!
CAA reckon l should put him through new type rating which l think is mental, surely an LST/LPC would be sufficient then add the C550 at Gatwick???
Interestingly they also said if you go from the C550 to C551 you can do an LPC/LST and then you are good to fly this but it's surely harder to go from multi pilot to single pilot than single to multi!?!?!?!
