Take a quick trip to Palmdale, about 90 minutes north of LAX. On the weekend the Blackbird Park will be open as will the Palmdale Heratage Air Park next door. On static display will be an SR-71, A-12, U-2, F-117, D-21, B-52, most of the century series fighters, A-4, F-4 and a few more.
If the weather is good there is normally something making touch and goes at Air Force 42 (Palmdale Airport), if you really lucky maybe a B-2 or U-2.
