Another virus hoax
It is going around again. Please DO NOT warn all your friends to check their hard drives for a file about a little bear! It is a Windows system file.
This is one of its forms.
Hi everybody
I found this virus on my machine today. Please check yours
The virus is from an un-known source
I have been advised that it may have been sent automatically to our whole
address book. It is transmitted through Outlook and Messenger so it may not
come as an attachment.
This virus is called (jdbgmgr.exe) sleeps in your computer for 14 days before
eating up your hard drive. Unfortunately Norton and other anti-virus programs
can not detect this virus so you have to eliminate it yourself.
It is easy to do. I suggest you proceed as I did
1) Go to start Click Find (or Search)
2) Write in jdbgmgr.exe
3) Be sure you are checking C hard drive
4) Click FIND NOW
5) If the virus appears it's ICON is a LITTLE BEAR with jdbgmgr.exe (DO not
open under any circumstance)
6) Click right button of mouse and select DELETE
7) Go to Recycle Bin and DELETE THE FILE
8) If you found this virus in your computer send this whole message to all
contacts in your address book.
Regards
.....
The clue is always the bit 'send this whole message to all
contacts in your address book.'
