I've heard that theory before and apparently it is about ACN trying to position themselves as the Nigerian National/Premier carrier, together with the political aspirations of one of the Family who is making a play for a government post.
Apparently the helicopter business will be sold off to another partner so allowing ACN to go for the Fixedwing stuff.
That also explained the CHC/ACN bunfight as ACN needed lots of cash to fund the veture and CHC were the unwitting supplier.
Time will tell, I guess.
