I used to fantasise about this - probably the time I spend on PC flight simulators was correlated to the amount of flying it did.
If a plane can autoland, I daresay it couldn't autoland in windy situations - in the flight sims the AP always took far too long to adjust. So then you've got using the pedals to slip - could be dicey if you haven't got the CH Products rudder pedals or whatever in your PC sim.
Any of course you'd be totally reliant on external comms for radio frequencies etc. But apart from that, I think it could be done quite easily and most comments I've read from pilots say that PC sims are harder than the real thing.
