Just had a long chat on the phone with Bernie of the Mendi Fish Shop fame. He's now very settled on his small acre property on the Darling Downs and as soon as he gets his internet working, will get him into here.

Bernie was telling me he went to PNG 1961 as a linesman, learned to fly, and started his flying with Ron at STOL.

Reverting back to the inquiry about a DC3 wing at Ron Neville's pub, Bernie states that there was never a DC3 wing at Mendi - and he was a regular patron of Ron's pub.

I remember when the Macair Porter pranged at Kanabea - must be almost 40 years ago? Struggling to remember the pilots name but I seem to recall there was either a cow (of the bovine variety) or a Catholic priest on board?

What was the first Government "P2-PNG" - the Moresby Gliding Club's King Air 200 or was it the Cessna 421? I remember the C90 was P2-PNB.
