ATC introducing themselves during flight
Weird question I know but looking for a flightcrews point of view.
Been a controller for a few years at Swanwick and I remember when I was training, an instructor always used to say that as a matter of professional courtesy we should if poss say hello to the crew and introduce yourself when boarding/inflight or when exiting a plane.
I've done this a few times and to be honest when I say I'm a controller the reaction I've usually got is one of 'who cares'
Is this due to you guys/girls being too busy to stop and chat or is it more a sign of the times in aviation where it seems we're now all less of a family than in the good old days?
