Those honourable men and women who have refused to join under the ban will have based their actions on personal principle and ethics, and because they know it is the right thing to do. You don't ask for reward or compensation for doing the right thing -- that would be like returning a person's wallet then asking for everything that was in it as compensation for the fact that you returned it at all!
