I do have to admit, though, that I'm not faultless when it comes to risk taking. I did slip a C172 with flaps once... Shameful

Mind you, there is nothing in the POH to say you can't.
Not wanting to seem stupid, but why can't you slip a 172 with flaps, I have done it on a few occasions without giving it a second though, until now.
