Avman..perhaps I should have clarified my statement.
MAN...£5 for person/car
LGW...£1.50 or £2 if I recall to enter, plus a not inconsiderable amount to park the car at the airport (I used to stay 4-5 hrs at a stretch...it was around £8 if I recall).
I appreciate MAN is expensive if you are staying for a short period, but, if you are there for any length of time, in my book, its worth it.
The other way of looking at it, is £5 today was £1 in 1970's...I don't think anyone would have argued paying that then?
Ultimately its whether the user considers it value for money...I think it is, but there again, when I go, I stay for several hours.
