I was reviewing the timetable of Loganair on BHD IOM BHD. As far as I can see Manx2 have offered this route on a plate to Loganair. The Manx2 timings are awful especially when compared to the thrice daily business orientated schedule of Loganair. Manx2 could have survived this route given that they had frequency and built their reputation up in the market. Having aircraft under 19 seats meant that they could avoid the additional taxes imposed by government.
Loganair dont have a reputation for squeezing out the competition or indeed coming in to challenge them. Clearly a flybe influence at work here!
