Well, at least they are being conservative in opting for the lowly 900EX and not the long range 7X.
The 900EX should still give 4500nm legs down to Antartica, New Zealand,Fiji, Solomons, Most of the Pacific Island Nations, Waikiki, Korea, Japan, Tibet, Beijing,Sinkiang,Calcutta, Mongolia, Russia but most importantly, the fiesta spots of Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns, Singapore, KL, Cebu, Manila, Bangkok, Phuket. After a 9 hour drag, you would need a jolly good massage.
Hopefully, the crew would not be expected to operate on minrest and would receive a nice little o/n expense account to compensate for the stress and strain experienced.
