Flybe have really made a huge song and dance today about a new base at Gatwick (baing 1 aircraft and adding 1 route to Düsseldorf) .
- Do Flybe have big plans for Gatwick? More new routes in the pipeline?
- Did Flybe get wind of Aer Lingus planning a Düsseldorf route and jumped in ahead of them?
- Is Gatwick going to enjoy a fare war between Aer Lingus, Easyjet and Flybe at Gatwick on key European routes?
Maybe it's just one new Flybe route to Düsseldorf and thus nothing to worry about...
I'm curious however to know when Aer Lingus will announce the routes their
next 4 aircraft will operate.
