It was me flying it... and it certainly still had two propellers when I got out of it.

As far as we know, a failure of the oleo meant that on rotation the weight of the wheel did not extend the oleo fully, as it normally would. Because of this, on gear retraction, the wheel did not retract into its normal place in the wheel well. This caused it to get stuck, and neither the normal nor the emergency gear extension, nor any amount of manoeuvring, would free it.

Fortunately, there seems to have been very little damage. The flap and the wing tip are both scratched, and the footstep will have to be replaced.

And all the crew at Bournemouth deserve a mention for the fantastic, professional way they attended to us, and also the speed with which the aircraft was removed so the airport could be re-opened.
