So it is finally dawning on airline "managers" that this is a global industry? Now I have nothing against bean counters, indeed some of my friends are bean counters, but they aren't exactly 'people' kind of people are they? That they failed to anticipate the inevitable human problems that would arise from global alliances is yet more evidence of the ineptitude of the current crop of aviation strategists. This is a service industry; to ensure high quality delivery it requires the services of highly qualified and intelligent specialists. Cost cutting manouvres already removed the fat, now they are cutting into the flesh they must expect to feel some pain.
