The islands - although basic in places - are great for a relaxing break doing nothing on a fabulous beach. Admittedly theres not a lot to do on Sal - but other islands have their own character. Praia is very much a working island with some great scenery in the interior of the island. Your sweeping statement does little to enthuse anyone. As airhumberside states, niche operators have featured Cape Verde for a number of years. TUI throwing capacity at the destination is the only thing that has dumbed down the product and the destination.
