Shell isn't pulling out, merely relocating, with Snake Island being closed down for helicopter operations and the Super Puma moving to Lagos. Bristow 'cut backs' include an expansion of fixed wing operations with additional executive jet operating contracts. The Bristow Bell 412EP from Mauritania is also coming to Nigeria and rumour has it that more S76s may be coming.

CHC may have nobody based on site in Nigeria with influence on ACN, but they do have a 40% stake in the company so naturally they still have to invest to maintain that stake. They seem to have come to some agreement and money is now being paid to them from ACN. The main worry is that since Aero has unilaterally changed the contracts of a number of middle managers, causing them to quit, the management experience base will be lowered and could well lead to a lowering of in-country experience and standards.
