Gordy shows a link to helmet bags. The one listed as 8401 is probably the most universal. I have always used one and never had a problem, but thats only in 39 years in helicopters.
I know of nothing that gives ultimate protection and do remember seeing one of my skid lids as it passed me by on the freeway after falling off the back of my bike many years ago. it did pretty well, until it was hit by a truck. I didnt even stop....
