Helmet / flight bag advice
Hi all
I have a flight bag which is ideal as it can take my helmet, various odds and ends and has a large pouch on the side where my laptop lives. I really like it except for the fact that the fabric quality is absolutely disgusting, to put it lightly. It is literally falling apart and every time I take my helmet out some of the lining of the bag follows it.
I am looking for a replacement and would appreciate some advice, specifically to buy in the USA. I don't trust my helmet in checked luggage so I carry it with me when going anywhere on the airlines and I carry all my valuables in the same bag.
Requirements are :
Sling so I can hang it over my shoulder
Central compartment for my helmet, gloves etc, preferably padded
Compartments for GPS, power cords etc
Compartment for the laptop
I am in the utility field so I need something tough as the bag gets moved a lot between the helicopter, vehicles and hotel rooms. I have looked on various websites and there are many bags available but since I cannot feel the quality of the material or padding I cannot tell how good they are hence the need for personal experience in your advice.
