On the HSI "digital counter display" of all airplanes I flew, rotating from 359º, it goes to 000º.
Then further to 001º, not 359º to 360º to 001º...
So, in order to be "politically correct" we should (probably) say "000"...

I am not that stupid. I know that 360 is 000... I am proud postgraduate from kindergarden.
Yet it is runway 36 R, not 00 R...!

Same story with digital time.
Do you read 23:59, then 24.00, then 00:01...
Or is it instead 23:59, then 00:00, then 00:01...?
How about, tonight at midnight, have a look at your clock...?

Anecdote with PanAm airlines. We had some departures at exactly midnight.
Yet on our paperwork, we entered T/O time at 0001...
And if we landed exactly at midnight, we entered landing at 2359. Why...?
Try to figure when it is 24:00 on 17 October... early morning or late evening...?

Happy contrails
