Wau races 1940
sixiesrelic: Yeah, I was on the wrong track there, thinking there might have been a femily connection with Tess/Rhoda. I didn't realise Tess was Charlie's wife. I don't think Rhoda worked as a hostie in Australia. She was with Ansett-MAL pre. mid '60's, and came to TAA-NG late '60's, as the first of two locally employed girls, along with Sylvia Bickerton. I think Janice Longmore became the third. Many will remember her dad, Hec Longmore, from Madang, who was a very good snooker/billiards player, might have even been Territory Champion (?), and played matches against such as Eddy Charlton on their occasional promotional visits. Cheers.
