PZ,
Renewal is not a bad idea but who says that an 'old' management can't have bright ideas? Also, at times of so-called renewal, valuable corporate memory is purged at the same time. So often many of us have seen whizz-kids come along in the guise of renewal to try to reinvent the wheel only to find that what they are setting out to do may have been examined ten years previously only to find that it was unworkable.
Old heads are wise heads so until you get older and wiser, maybe you should pull yer had in! Some of the best things to have happened at Qantas and other iconic Australian companies have been the product of the minds of the old and wise. Qantas's problems stem mostly from some very intransigent unions.
