speaking from the corporate world...every now and then, there is the need for an enema....this recession/financial crisis is just that....now, hopefully with the expected requirement for all executive pay > 1 year's base salary (or whatever) to be shareholder approved...this is only a good thing. I've been to a few AGMs where the mum-and-dad shareholders almost had a heart attack when they read the remuneration note and the chairman had to stand there and explain why one person should get paid x% of the total net profit for the year
