Summer 2009 looks as if it is going to be the quietest in a very long time..........
Blue Islands are moving into BRS with a J31 to/from GCI - surely CWL management should have jumped on this - BRS already has a daily link to GCI with Aurigny whilst CWL currently has no link.
Also about time the Highland Airways aircraft was upgraded - the J41 with 29 seats would be ideal, more passenger friendly, more room and more luggage. The J31 was great to start but now time for a change. They should also look at charters this summer such as IOM or even GCI. Seems such a waste the aircraft parked up from Friday PM until Monday AM.
There has got to be some "thin" routes that be operated from CWL such as IOM & GCI.
A J41 could even make a London route profitable !!!!
Long haul is another sore point - gone are the Toronto, Orlando, Vancouver, Puerto Plata & Cancun days only to be filled by Palma, Dalaman etc.................we got the length in the runway so lets use it !
