I checked out gliding clubs closest, but it would be good to know if there's some small flight schools or clubs around Cardiff.
Usk Gliding Club and Black Mountains Gliding Club are the closest IIRC. Although the Air Corps do fly from St Athan. I'll be looking to join Usk when I'm below 16st
