James A. Bergquist:
It is a noble cause for concerned citizens as you to point out perceived safety deficiencies in our complex air transportation system. But after having written "dozens of letters" to U.S. presidents about alleged drug uses amongst U.S. air traffic controllers, you have made more of an A$$ out of yourself than to have furthered your image as a self appointed air safety crusader.
Systems and human organizations have limitations. Perfection, truth, honesty, integrity, competency are human goals. It doesn't matter how well air traffic controllers, pilots, dispatchers and, for that matter, FBI or CIA agents are screened, trained, tested and checked; there will always be some who will fall through the cracks. We cannot bullet proof safety or security in any profession. We can take reasonable measures.
But your approach as a fired former air traffic controller is too self serving; Kafkaesque.
