In my opinion I believe there should be random drug/alcohol testing of aircrew, cabin crew, air traffic controllers and anyone in the aviation passenger/freight-carrying business!
So much hangs on a thread when it comes to flying - all it may take is one person with an alcohol or drugs problem in the "food chain" be they handler, pilot, cabin crew and an aircraft of several hundred SLF, animals in freight, dangerous substances in freight are at risk! and, of course any resulting accident will effect souls on the ground!
