Yes, they fly over here pretty much every night (the hercs) on their way around the SW and Wales before they do their business on SPTA or Keevil.
Chinooks are frequent like the hercs, but at night i can't see anything but lights and not even that sometimes.

No idea the percentage but i reckon low flying in Devon is down a good 60% from 5 years ago. Sometimes i go several weeks without seeing a Fast Jet other than the Yeovilton Hawks... when before, it was everyday, all day.
I can't see the point of having OTA-H over Devon and Cornwall anymore because we no longer get any exercises down here or for that matter much low level flying other than the Hercs or a few Helos.
They opened up D-064 complex off St Mawgan a couple of years ago replacing the older danger areas but it hardly gets used, a few hawks each day controlled by a Seaking or "Freddie" and that is it.

Mr Gordon Brown has a lot to do with it no doubt... or the Devon countryside isn't as dramatic as mid Wales or the Lake District.
