The figures are not surprising really especially with all the weather distruptions and the air transport movements down by 25 per cent and one day less compared to 2008. What I find surprising is the 12 month rolling passenger figure is down only 0.9 per cent which shows just how much rapid growth Luton had in 2008.
I would think the March figures are going to be pretty poor as well with Easter not falling in the month like 2008 but that of course is the same for all airports.
